Amy Linss, MSN, RN-BC, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC – Complete Family Medicine – Moberly – Behavioral Health

Amy is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.  She has earned certifications in both Family Medicine as well as Psychiatric Mental Health.  She received her Master of Science degree and post master’s certificate from Maryville University of St. Louis. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Missouri Nurses Association, the Missouri Coalition of Nurses in Advanced Practice, the Obesity Medicine Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.  She has earned recognition by the Obesity Medicine Association for advanced education in obesity medicine as a nurse practitioner.

Previous to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Amy was Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health registered nurse.  As a registered nurse Amy cared for patients in an inpatient medical surgical unit, inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation facility, outpatient mental health clinic, primary care clinic, and an inpatient psychiatric intensive care unit.  Amy has special interests in mood disorders, hormone replacement therapy, obesity medicine, and addictions.  Prior to focusing on behavioral health at Complete Family Medicine, Amy cared for patients in the primary care setting.  Along with behavioral health, Amy continues to offer BioTE hormone replacement therapy.

Amy believes in treating the whole person, both physically and mentally. She believes in building a relationship with her patients based on mutual respect and providing individualized care that is a continuous partnership toward better health.  Amy is certified to see all ages from birth to geriatrics.

Amy was raised on a farm in West Central Illinois.  She later moved to the St. Louis area where she received dual Bachelor of Art/Science degrees in Biological Medical Sciences and Psychology from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL.  She later went on to receive her Associate Degree in Nursing from Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, IL and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McKendree University in Lebanon, IL.  She and her husband are avid sports fans and love to travel.
