He graduated from ATSU-KCOM in 2017, and received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Truman State University in 2011. Growing up in Northeast Missouri, he spent his early childhood in Kirksville, then moved to Shelby County prior to returning back to Kirksville for his college and medical education. He is excited about the opportunity to practice family medicine in his hometown. In addition to his practice at Complete Family Medicine, Dr. Palmer is also adjunct faculty at ATSU-KCOM, assisting in the Family Medicine department. He completed the Wetzel Fellowship through the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons in 2020 which allowed him to be an active part of education and advocacy efforts for Missouri Osteopathic physicians across the state.
