Our Complete Family Medicine Story

In 2009, Justin D. Puckett, DO, FACOFP, FAAFP, FOMA, CPE, founded Complete Family Medicine shortly after finishing residency in Kirksville. In a 600 square foot office in the downtown Kirksville area, CFM quickly became known as the clinic where patients wanted to be seen, where staff wanted to work, and where the greatest offering of services could be provided under one roof. Volume quickly grew and with it grew the team of providers and team members.

Even after moving to a larger office on North Baltimore Street, it became obvious that in order to continue to grow, to offer the fullest range of services, and to allow for the goals of patient care to be met, something entirely new and out of the box had to be done. After an extensive planning and building phase, Dr. Puckett and Dr. John Collins, also a family medicine physician who graduated from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, partnered together to open the large major medical complex at 1611 S Baltimore St, which opened its doors on July 1, 2011. With the new facility, the number and types of services continued to grow to include an Urgent Care (open 7 days a week, 365 days a year), more primary care providers, specialty providers, laboratory, radiology, counseling, and much more. But the growth was not limited to just Kirksville. From 2011 to 2017, Complete Family Medicine opened two more Urgent Cares - Macon (2014) and Moberly (2015) and two rural health clinics - La Plata (2014) and Lancaster (2016).

In 2017, Complete Family Medicine became a service of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, a not-for-profit health system based out of Hannibal, MO. Hannibal Regional has been an independent provider of health care for the past 115 years and has been at its current location in Hannibal for more than 25 years. Expanding beyond hospital services, Hannibal Regional now has over 1,400 team members, offices located in 11 communities, 85 providers and 21 specialties serving 12+ counties.

Since joining Hannibal Regional, Complete Family Medicine has continued to grow, adding more primary care providers and two school-based health clinics through partnerships with Kirksville R-III School District (since 2019) and Truman State University (since 2021) and opening the Complete Family Medicine Specialty Group (2021) and a new Occupational Medicine location (2020), to name a few. Hannibal Regional and Complete Family Medicine continue to lead the way in providing access to exceptional healthcare and guiding the residents of Northeast Missouri to BETTER.
